Technical Assistance

Have a technical question about masonry materials, design or construction? CMDC fields inquiries from design professionals and our masonry contractor members, saving them valuable time that would otherwise be wasted as they search for the information they need. They have found the answers they are looking for by contacting our office. You can submit a general technical assistance inquiry contacting CMDC directly

When required, CMDC has attended many site visits regarding issues with as-built and ongoing masonry projects. The technical assistance offered by CMDC is a complimentary service to designers within CMDC’s member provinces provided by our masonry contractor members.

Resources

The CMDC is involved in many areas that go beyond expert technical assistance and education. Learn more about the various ways you can take advantage of tools and resources offered by the CMDC.

Software

MASS (Masonry Analysis Structural Systems) is a masonry design software that will design elements of your structure in accordance with the current CSA Standards. MASS shows every equation and variable, along with code references, making all results reliable and trustworthy. MASS will also pay for itself in as little as just one project by saving hours of hand calculations and design iterations.
