Can I retain CMDC to provide fee-for-service engineering consultation?
CMDC does not offer engineering services to the general public.
While we are a team of capable professional engineers across our many locations with active licenses with the respective local professional regulatory bodies, CMDC is not for hire for consulting services.
We are a technical resource serving the design community our goal is not to compete with the services offered by for-profit design firms. However, if you hire one of the many capable designers across Canada for your project, we are more than happy to support them on all technical matters. While we do not offer our services to anyone with a masonry question, rest assured that when you hire an engineer, they have access to CMDC’s complementary technical support.

In what situations might CMDC offer engineering services?
On occasion, CMDC has undertaken special initiatives on behalf of the masonry industry or design community, in line with our mission, and our structure as a not-for-profit association. Our customers have included CSA Group, and the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) among others.
